Momentum is building. Capital campaign pledge commitments are coming in, and pledge dollars are regularly being deposited.
Your parish leadership has been hard at work finalizing plans for a phased approach to the restoration of the church building. And your capital campaign committee members and visitors have met in realtime with the majority of households that contribute regularly to St Paul's. Our capital campaign consultants from James D. Klote & Associates conclude their time with us on Sunday, October 4.
What's next? I'm glad you asked. Three big things:
First, capital campaign committee members and visitors will continue setting and holding meetings with all the regular givers to St Paul's, inviting your prayerful consideration of what you will pledge in support of the campus restoration. We plan to wrap up our visits with internal stakeholders before the end of 2026.
If you have been approached but haven't yet set a meeting, don't be surprised when we reach out again. We want everyone to share in and have a stake in the amazing work that we are doing together as a parish with God's help.
Second, this fall the vestry and the rector will be seeking your pledges to the 2027 calendar year operating budget. Expect a letter in the mail from me about that in the next few weeks and plan for some opportunities to be in conversation about healthy stewardship with Bishop Greg Rickel, assisting bishop in our diocese.
Third, look for a "save the date" card which will be mailed to you on October 12. For what? For the January 17, 2027 kickoff party for the external phase of our capital campaign. Local business supporters will foot the bill for a gala event to say thank you to everyone who has contributed to the capital campaign thus far and please to the wider community who wish to join us in restoring St Paul's as a community center of hospitality and beauty that serves all.
Thank you for both sharing in the work and joining in the celebration! God is good all the time!
