On Sunday, June 28 we will commemorate the feast of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, transferred from June 29.
It's our feast of title, our patronal feast, as we remember this apostolic odd couple whose influence and ministries still shape and guide us today. Peter and Paul were very different people and had very different approaches to some of the crucial issues of their day. Even so, they were siblings in Christ and faithful Jesus followers. They worked together even when they did not always see things entirely eye to eye.
This year we will not have a combined service with our siblings at St Peter's, four blocks further south. We will, however, pray the same collect and sing the same hymn as we share in the common feast day of our patrons.
