On this All Hallows' Eve I send you love and all good wishes for the new year in old Celtic thinking. Tonight is the night, the ancient Celts held, when the veil between the worlds is thinnest, and it is easier to cross back and forth over the thresholds between worlds.
Last weekend's diocesan convention in Boca Raton was a great time of fellowship and formation. Presiding Bishop-elect Sean Rowe's preaching and teaching were inspiring an on-point. We are in wise and capable hands for his nine-year term which begins tomorrow on All Saints Day.
On Saturday, November 2, the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed, Bishop Sean will be invested as the 28th Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church. The investiture begins at 11 AM Eastern in the Chapel of Christ the Lord at the Church Center at 815 Second Avenue in New York City. You can livestream the service here: https://www.episcopalchurch.org/investiture/#! At the same link, beginning at 9:30 AM Eastern, there will be a roll call of nearly all dioceses of the Church by way of video greetings for the new Presiding Bishop.
And, on Saturday evening, don't forget to "fall back" one hour to return to Standard Time so that you won't be late to attend in person or livestream our All Saints Sunday celebration and commemoration of those who have died in the last year from St Paul's and St Peter's, Key West. The St Peter's congregation will join us for the 10 AM Eucharist and commemoration.
