Summertime is here. We can feel it in the air--that is, the humidity that is a constituent part of summer in the Lower Keys.
This month, the official start of summer, we have two opportunities to eat, drink, and fellowship with the people of St Peter's.
The first is after the combined St Paul's and St Peter's service at 10 AM on Trinity Sunday, June 15. This will be at St Peter's. Please plan to attend if you are in town and bring something tasty to share at the repast/coffee hour that follows.
Father Ed Gomez will preach and preside. Dean Warden will play piano. And both St Paul's and St Peter's folks will serve in worship leadership roles. Both Tim and I will be away for continuing education that Sunday.
The second repast opportunity is after the combined St Paul's and St Peter's service for the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul + Pride on Sunday, June 29 at 10 AM. This will be at St Paul's. Please plan to attend if you are in town and bring something tasty to share at the coffee hour/repast that follows.
At "Peter, Paul, and Pride," Father Ed Gomez will preach, and I will preside with Ed+ assisting. Tim will be at the organ; Dean will be cantor, and both St Paul's and St Peter's folks will serve in leadership roles.
Summer is hot and humid, and, equally, congenial and warm in fellowship between and among our two congregations. Thanks be to God.
