HOLIDAY PARADE UPDATE

05Dec

ALERT! This year the annual Key West Holiday Parade starts at 6:30 PM (not 7 PM as in years past). And the parade is this Saturday, December 7. It's a joy each year to be in the streets with a bunch of St Paul's people wishing the hundreds lining the streets of our island city all the joy and blessings of the season.

At the Parade Safety Meeting at City Hall on Wednesday, December 4, we learned that St Paul's is #53 out of a record-breaking 89 entries in this year's parade.

This year we will have a walking group and one decorated vehicle. Our lineup spot, #53, will be in the middle of the one-block-long Jose Marti Drive, on the KWPD headquarters side, before Horace O'Bryant School.

Our vehicle must check in and be in place at 3:35 PM. Once parked, we can leave it along with our signs and other stuff.

Walkers should be at the lineup spot on Jose Marti Drive by 6 PM.

Please wear your most festive walking attire!

If you aren't going to be among the walkers, please wave and yell to us from your viewing spot along the route.

Also, the new Keys Life TV will livestream the parade for the first time this year.

Happy Advent to all!
